CESUD (Community Empowerment for Sustainable Development) is dedicated to ensuring a safe, nurturing, and protective environment for all children, orphans, and vulnerable individuals who participate in or benefit from our programs. We maintain a zero-tolerance policy towards any form of abuse, neglect, exploitation, or harassment.
1. Core Principles of Protection
- ✔Best Interests of the Child: Every action and decision affecting children under our care is guided by what is best for the child.
- ✔Nondiscrimination: All children have equal rights to protection, regardless of gender, race, tribe, physical ability, or socio-economic background.
- ✔Informed Consent: Active, informed consent is obtained from parents or legal guardians before children are featured in media or participate in school field trips.
2. Staff and Volunteer Recruitment Vetting
- ✔Mandatory Certificate of Good Conduct for all full-time staff and long-term field officers prior to placement.
- ✔Double reference check protocol for all volunteers and interns deployed in school-based green clubs and nutrition programs.
- ✔Bi-annual training on child rights and child protection laws for all field supervisors and community facilitators.
3. Safe Coding of Conduct in the Field
- ✔No staff member or volunteer is permitted to be alone with a child in a closed space or outside designated program hours.
- ✔No physical discipline or abusive language is tolerated under any circumstances.
- ✔Strict guidelines on digital interactions: Staff are prohibited from adding child beneficiaries on personal social media channels.
4. Incident Reporting & Investigation Workflow
